Description

Cessna 172 Skyhawk Avionics Integration & Pre-Buy Resources

  • Skyhawk Panel Interfacing: Fully compatible with vintage cross-panel steam configurations or modern electronic flight instruments commonly retrofitted into the 172 fleet (including Garmin G5, GI 275, Aspen Evolution, uAvionix AV-30, or Dynon).
  • Coupled Approach Precision: Tracks WAAS GPS vertical guidance, including LPV approaches, when paired with a compatible navigator (Garmin 430W/530W, GTN series, Avidyne IFD) to significantly reduce pilot workload during IFR flight operations and training. The Trio Pro Pilot does not provide coupled ILS approach capability.
  • Download Manuals & AML: Review the official FAA Approved Model List (AML), STC permission forms, and wiring schematics over at our Trio Autopilot Documentation & Support Center.
  • Pre-Shipment Panel Consultation: Because Cessna 172 airframes spanning different generations utilize a mix of 14V and 28V architectures, all orders are thoroughly verified. Following checkout completion, we will cross-reference your specific voltage choice, tail number, and avionics stack before your custom kit is manufactured and shipped. For pre-purchase assistance, contact Jeff directly through our Panel Consultation Page.
